Global Missions

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations."

Matthew 28:19
Missions are a high priority at West Side. Whether it’s in our own neighborhood, or around the globe, we believe Christ calls us to make disciples of all nations. Find out more about the short-term and long-term missionaries we support: office@wspc.org

An Emergency Appeal for Cuba

The Outreach Foundation is one of the global outreach organizations that West Side supports. With the crisis in Cuba, there is an urgent need for our Cuban Presbyterian family to meet their basic needs.

The Outreach Foundation is also partnering with a Cuban seminary - the Evangelical Theological Seminary - who is accommodating the overflow of children who have tested positive for COVID-19. The facility is now at full capacity.

In response, The Outreach Foundation is seeking support for our partners in Cuba to aid during this time of crisis.

National and International Organizations

WHEELCHAIRS FOR NIGERIA
Wheelchairs for Nigeria is a nonprofit based in Nigeria and Seattle and run by Rev. Ron Rice of West Side Presbyterian in the U.S. and, Ayuba Gufwan, in Nigeria. Gufwan, himself crippled by polio, runs the wheelchair shop in Jos, Nigeria with 65 employees. They build self-pedaled “tricycles” for some of the tens of thousands of children and adults who have spent their lives crawling on the ground. They have built and donated over 18,000 wheelchairs, far more than anyone else is doing for polio survivors in all of Nigeria. You can watch a short video at www.wheelchairsfornigeria.org.
