God Cares for Me
As parents of young children, most of you have a plethora of things to worry about—from milestones to worries of the future. However, 1 Peter 5:7 tells us to "give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you." Use this season in your life, letting your child know the many ways that God provides for your family! God loves and cares about you and your child!
ENGAGE:
Pray this Scripture over your children. Use key times in the day to tell your them about the ways that God cares for them. Here are some examples:
Dinner Time - tell them how God provides the food on the table.
Bath Time - let them know how God provides the water (and toys) they have for a bath.
Bed Time - talk about how God provides a nice, comfy bed to lie in.

Craft: God Cares for You
Matthew 6: 26-27 says, "Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?”
With a little one, there are a lot of things that we tend to worry about. However, it is important to remember God's truth—he cares about us as parents and our children! Take time this week to teach your child the truth that God loves us and cares for us. Create a simple bird feeder together as a reminder of how God cares for the birds and also cares about us.

Engage:
- Make a Cheerio Bird Feeder by bending a pipe cleaner into a simple shape.
- Let your little one help by adding the cheerios to the pipe cleaner. It's okay if they eat some too.
- Tie a string at the top so that you can hang the bird feeder.
- Hang the bird feeder on a tree. Sit outside and watch birds enjoy the special treat. Take this opportunity to talk with your infant or toddler about how God cares for the birds just like he cares for you!
