Meeting with Christ in the Desert

The Monastery of Christ in the Desert is a Benedictine monastery 20 miles up a dirt track from Abiquiu, New Mexico. Pastor Laurie and her husband, David, will spend 8 days of her study leave participating in the scheduled prayers and meals alongside the monks at the abbey. Laurie will follow a self-guided spiritual retreat during the work hours of the day. You can learn more here about the pattern of prayer and work at the monastery. Pastor Laurie would love your prayers for spiritual growth and refreshment during this retreat.

The second half of study leave Pastor Laurie will work on Scriptural studies for upcoming sermon series in a rental near Abiquiu. Please be praying for insight from God’s Holy Spirit during these Scripture studies.  

Senior Director Chris Koch will preach on April 23 and 30. Pastor Laurie is back in the office on May 2.
